Emily Chau, DPM, is a highly skilled podiatrist and wound care specialist committed to excellence. Dr. Chau is pleased to be a member of the highly-trained physicians working with Tower Wound Care Centers in Santa Monica, California. She brings her experience to Tower Wound Care to help all patients remain healthy and active.
Dr. Chau obtained her Bachelor of Science in cellular and molecular biology at the University of Washington in Seattle. She then completed her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Science and Medicine in North Chicago, Illinois.
She continued her medical education by joining the residency program at the Baltimore Veterans Affair and Sinai Hospital, with a heavy focus on wound care, limb salvage, and preservation, along with complex reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and minimally invasive foot surgery.
Utilizing her extensive medical training, Dr. Chau treats all manners of foot and ankle concerns including, but not limited to, complex wounds, sports injuries, trauma and fractures, bunions, and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. She can also treat wounds of the foot and ankle, including diabetic ulcers, venous ulcers, traumatic wounds, burns, and other complicated lower extremity wounds. Dr. Chau employs a number of advanced wound care treatments, such as negative pressure wound therapy, debridement, biologics, and surgical intervention.
Dr. Chau’s interests beyond podiatry and wound care include outdoor activities, including hiking, swimming, archery, and skiing. She also greatly enjoys taking her dog, Orion, to explore new terrains and locations.
